We drum up ideas like this every now and then. This film was built completely in-house for Campus Shoes, with Siddhant Chaturvedi at the centre of it. The idea was to turn movement into the language of the film, and let the edit carry the energy from one beat to the next. This was one of the two films we pulled off in a single four-hour shoot. So most of the work happened before we even rolled camera. The concept, the timing, the choreography, the camera movement, the post rhythm. It all had to land cleanly, and it did. On set it was about hitting those marks. In post, it was about keeping it sharp and not letting the film lose its pace. The kind of film where the edit carries the pulse, and the product stays right at the centre of it.
